Description

A 1920s Selex pocket watch by Dimier Freres & Cie .

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, with 21 jewels, which is working well. The movement is stamped Selex, 21 jewels, 5 adjustments, Swiss made. Dimier Freres & Cie registered the brand name Selex in 1925. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company and was originally guaranteed to wear 25 years.. The case is in nice condition with just light surface marks and a couple of small "dings" to the back.

The watch glass is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
