Pair of Gothic Pugin Style Oak Benches

Description

A fantastic pair of well made solid oak gothic Pugin style benches. The bench seats with upstand gallery to allow a 2/3 inch padded cushion to be held in position. The quarter sawn oak denoting its quality and showing off the medullary rays: "Medullary rays are cellular structures found in some species of wood. They appear as radial planar structures, perpendicular to the growth rings, which are visible to the naked eye. In a transverse section they appear as radiating lines from the centre of the log".
