English Silver and Tortoiseshell Rocking Blotter - 1924

Description

A handsome vintage English desk-top rocking blotter, the top and handle beautifully finished with sterling silver and period tortoiseshell.

The shell has a good glossy patina showcasing the natural markings from golden champagne to rich chocolate brown.

Both the top of the blotter and the handle are wrapped in silver both with matching hallmarks for Birmingham 1924.

The makers mark is also present for the silversmith, Wilmott Manufacturing Co.

Excellent condition measuring 5 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" tall to top of handle.
