Description
If you are looking for an early 19th century Scottish Longcase in exceptionally good condition, case, dial and movement, at a very reasonable price - this is one made by James Honderwood of Ayr in 1820 to consider. The mahogany case is a lovely rich colour with champhered and reeded trunk corners. It would appear that at sometime the front panel at the base has been replaced. The movement was fully serviced in 2007 and also recently - including renewing the gut. It is excellent working order keeping good time. The one non original part of the case is a replacement piece of wood, behind the scenes at the top of the hood (see pic). We accept payment by PayPal or bank transfer
