The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It measures approx. 8.5cm (3 3/8") wide and 9cm (3 1/2") high. Held by the chain it hang 21cm (8 1/4").
The silk is pretty good, the fibres starting to separate a bit in the corners from opening and closing over the years. The silver has no damage or repairs, light surface wear, the gilding in the main is good, rubbed a bit on the clasp as you might expect. Marks are clear and the purse closes well.
