Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

LIllustration Horticole was a prominent 19th-century Belgian horticultural journal renowned for its detailed chromolithographs and engravings depicting botanical specimens and foliage.

19th-century botanical illustrations were produced using copperplate engraving or chromolithography, printing detailed ink line work onto paper before applying hand-painted colours.

Authentic period botanical prints feature distinct plate impression marks around the image border, fine line detailing from engraving plates, and characteristic paper age toning.

Arrange framed botanical prints in a symmetrical pair above a sideboard, mantelpiece, or console table to add structure and natural motifs to contemporary room schemes.

Display paper prints away from direct sunlight and moisture, framing them using acid-free mounting boards and UV-filtering glass to prevent discolouration and deterioration.
