Description

Fine late Victorian extensive oil on canvas 'Sheep grazing in Highlands' by Josephine Hoxie Bartlett of Edinburgh. Picture in fine original condition, fully signed, with no repairs or over-painting and contained in gilt frame. Lovely subtle Autumn colours. Artist exhibited between 1887 and 1899 with 12 works at RSA, 10 at Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, 1 at RA 2 at AAS etc. This is a fine example of her work.
