Description

Unusual 17th.c. style chest of drawers c.1800. Solid oak top with moulded edge lifting to reveal a blanket or linen box (height 14") over four working drawers, the top two drawers being dummy fronts. Very attractive cushion moulded front with superb repeated twist column carved detail to the uprights and brass ring handles. Oak drawer linings and oak panelled sides and rear. Excellent condition with later hinges, repairs and reinforcing to the lid. Particularly good colour.
