English Regency Mahogany Tea Caddy - Wonderful Brass Fittings

Description

An absolutely wonderful and highly decorative tea caddy dating to around 1820.

This example enjoys the most exquisite brass fittings, standing on four large & bold Lion's paw feet and either side retains the wonderful flower basket handles, just sensational.

Made from beautiful Mahogany, the caddy is trimmed with boxwood stringing. The interior has two tray lids, each with a turned Ivory knob.

Complete with a working key, the box remains in excellent condition, measuring 7 1/2" wide (excluding handles) x 4 1/2" deep x 5 3/4" tall.
