Description

This French antique Kingwood drinks cabinet has a wonderful shape & some exceptional fine details. It has a serpentine shaped front, two doors with floral marquetry panels & two more on the sides, more marquetry on the bottom drawer & on the bottom sides & more marquetry inside on the internal cupboard. There are gilt bronze mounts all over, some of them with floral features, some of them with cherubs & there is an urn sitting on the cross stretchers between the legs. This cabinet is of very high quality & is in excellent condition. There are too many features to mention, so please enlarge all the images to see them. The gilding is all original & has worn in places, which I think adds more character to this piece. The inside consists of a small cupboard in the middle, with shelves & compartments. I would date this cabinet to around the 1930’s period.
