Pair of Regency Mahogany Open Armchairs C.1830.

Description

Fine pair of Regency mahogany open armchairs c.1830. Solid mahogany frames with curved cresting rail and shaped rear stiles. Over shaped arms on scrolling supports and carved front legs, all with repeated papyrus leaf detail, the legs ending in neat little carved feet. Padded back rest and seat with vintage upholstery, frayed and worn-through on one of the seats. Frames are in very good condition and original colour, solid and sturdy cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
