A Good Large 18th Century Lancashire Dresser Base

Description

A good large 18th Century Lancashire dresser base/mule chest. The rectangular three plank hinged oak top opens to reveal a storage area with three dummy drawers and seven "working" drawers, each oak lined and retaining their original brass swan neck handles, back plates and escutcheons. The base also incorporating a fielded panel central cupboard again with the original handle, escutcheon and hinge. With quarter mahogany columns to the ends and fielded panels. Supported on shaped ogee bracket feet. English circa 1780

Dimensions: 82" wide x 22" deep x 37" high

Condition: This dresser base is in mostly original condition, some of the hinges on the top have been replaced some time in the 19th century. A lovely colour and patina
