Description

Very smart mid 19th.c. burr walnut and marble top chest of drawers c.1870. Original grey marble top with canted corners and a moulded edge over four long drawers. Beautifully figured burr walnut veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern across the front. Slim top drawer with raised mouldings, canted corners and raised on a moulded plinth. Superior quality with solid walnut sides and oak drawer linings. Unfortunately there is a break running front to back across the centre of the marble, it is however solid and perfectly useable, having been properly repaired and reinforced with a wooden board for extra strength. Otherwise excellent condition with original locks and of superb colour, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
