Late 19th.c. maritime diorama c.1870. Depicting a three mast naval barque under a wonderful full spread (excepting of the half-reefed bottom sail on the main mast) of wooden sails, with its ports open and the canons run out ready to deliver a broadside. On a nicely modelled and painted sea against a painted sky. Behind glass in a simple wooden case with moulded frame. Original glass front, the rear of the case is made from a Victorian era Coleman’s mustard crate.

Presented as found, the inside of the case is quiet dusty but could be opened and cleaned if preferred.
