Mahogany Stick Barometer by A. Abraham of Liverpool C.1830.

Description

Early 19th.c. mahogany stick barometer by the well known Liverpool optician and instrument makers A. Abraham & Co. c.1830. Long mercury tube barometer and separate mercury thermometer. Glazed top with original engraved and silvered gauge, named for A. Abraham Opticians Liverpool. With two adjustable markers for making observations retaining the original knobs. Fine mahogany case crisp moulded top and flame mahogany front with ebony stringing. Matching silvered gauge to the thermometer. Excellent original and working condition.
