Large Georgian Newcastle Silver Cup. 1786

Description

Very fine and large George III Newcastle silver two handled cup with scrolling handles and fine repousse decoration to both sides with vacant cartouches. Standing on shaped footrim. All in super un-touched original condition and with good clear hallmarks. Still retains most of gilding within cup. Makers John Langlands & John Robertson of Newcastle. Assayed for 1786. Weight 15 oz troy. A great piece of Newcastle silver.

Size; 6.5" high. 9" wide across handles. 4.5" diameter at top.
