In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The inside board is covered in a blue silk. It is clearly hallmarked for Synyer & Beddoes, Birmingham 1898.
The picture window measures approximately 3 1/2" (9cm) x 5" (13cm).
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and the easel back is in good solid order. There is some wear to the silk lining and the leather is a bit worn on the back. The easel may have been recovered at some point but it still displays well. There are some light surface marks, minor scratches and some small dinks around the frame but nothing too detrimental given its age. The silver has been gently cleaned and polished and the frame is ready for use.
