Unusual Edwardian Cased Silver Tyg Egg Cup & Spoon

Superb unusual solid silver egg cup and spoon set in original case. The Egg Cup is superbly designed in a rare Tyg shape with three handles. The exterior is a plain polished silver with no engravings or embossing which compliments the wonderful shape. The inside of the Egg Cup has a lovely gilt finish in a deep yellow colour. Very clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay office with silver maker''s mark Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall). The Egg Cup has a date mark for 1909 and the spoon for 1910. The spoon is also a plain polished silver with full hallmarks to the back of the spoon terminal.
 
The items come in a lovely original leatherette presentation case with a lovely royal blue interior.
 
 
 
A superb set would be the perfect gift for a new baby or Christening gift. splendid unusual design.
 
 
 
Condition: Both the Egg Cup and the spoon are in lovely antique collector''s condition.
