Large French Gilded Bronze Photograph Frame C.1890

Description

A magnificent and grand photograph frame; if you are looking for a statement piece, this may very well be it.

Made from Ormolu or gilded bronze, it has been meticulously restored to it's former glory with a bright patina, clean silk taffeta and a recovered backing incorporating a folding easel back stand.

Behind the glass are various gilded bronze mounts attached to the silk taffeta including a pretty ribbon and bow garland across the top.

Standing 12 3/4" tall x 8 3/4" the oval aperture measures 7 3/4" x 5 3/4". Superb condition dating to c.1895.
