Antique Solid Silver Coffee Pot

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine example of a large antique solid sterling silver tea or coffee pot with an elegant shape, ribbed detail to the base and ebonised handles. It is engraved on one side with the letter 'A' and on the other side with the letter 'W'.

It is stylish and excellent quality, weighing a total of 456g with the handles. It is fully hallmarked for Atkin Brothers, Sheffield, 1902.

It is in good condition for its age and the hallmark is clear. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There is a small mark on the top finial where it looks like a small section has melted slightly (see photo) and there is also a scuff on the edge of the spout lip. There are some general faint surface scratches and a few light surface marks and small dinks/dents but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask. UK Delivery £10

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
