A Georgian Newcastle Silver Cream Jug by a Female Silversmith

A fine silver cream jug from the early 19th Century and assayed at the sought after Newcastle Office. This good example is of squared form and stands on four ball feet. The jug has engraved decoration of foliar and acorn design with a cartouche each side. One cartouche bears the trace of a monogram, the other is vacant. A handsome and usable piece, with the distinction of being both assayed at a sought after Office and made by a female silversmith. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no dents or splits. There is loss to the engraved pattern on each side on the main body, due to polishing and commensurate with age.
