A fine Impressionist oil, ' Young Friends by the Beach Watching Fishermen' circa 1950's.

Good quality gallery frame 52cmx62cm
Painted by Gunnar Bundgaard ( 1920-2005)
Signed lower right
Two young friends/ sisters watching fishermen haul their boat up the beach on a sunny day.
They are both wearing their sun hats. Almost silhouetted by the bright sunlight looking seaward from a bench amongst the grassy dunes.. Wild flowers are in bloom, to the left.
Wonderful impressionist painting technique capturing the hazey late afternoon light reflecting on the sea.
Possibly the artist's daughters are the models, I like to think so.
Good condition.
