Description

I have never had the pleasure of having or even seeing a pair of candlesticks like this, with integral natural bristle pen wipes, used to clean the excess ink from a Victorian dip pen; these were obviously created as desk candles.

The solid cast brass is highly decorative and a good weight; the pen wipes are hand filled and look to have never been used, they are as good as the day they were made, around 1880.

A superb and highly desirable desk accessory in excellent condition measuring 6 1/2" tall with the base measuring 4 3/8" x 4 3/8".
