Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
There are brass escutcheons to the doors and it comes with working lock (not original) and working key. The doors open to reveal storage inside. Dating from circa 1800.

Good colour and figuring. Lock works and comes with a key. General age related wear and marks commensurate with age. This piece has had various alterations over the years, a shelf has been removed the back has been changed at some point.
