9ct gold ladies Omega wrist watch, 1927.

The watch has a signed Omega movement, calibre 23.7S T2, which is working nicely. The serial number on the movement, 6,926,635, dates it back to the second half of the 1920s.

The watch is a good wearable size for a lady at 25mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1927 with a case maker's mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company, an English company who supplied various watch makers with cases. The case is in very nice condition, just the odd minor mark.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in beautiful condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes on a later 9 carat gold bracelet by Payton Pepper & Sons, hallmarked for 1956. It currently fits a wrist of around 17.5cm although there is sliding adjustment on the clasp to make it about 1cm bigger if necessary.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a West Ealing, London jeweller.
