Description

Elgin K pocket watch, 1906.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 299, which is working nicely. The beautifully patterned movement is signed with the Elgin name and the serial number 12,083,227 dates it back to 1906.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled. There is a little unevenness to the screw-on case back but overall it is very acceptable condition for such an early piece.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is beautifully detailed and quite unusual in design. There is a little patch of damage to the edge of the dial, at nuber 7, and a couple of radiating hairlines but they are faint and difficult to see with the naked eye.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
