Description

Superb quality late 19th.c. walnut and marble top buffet or console table c.1880. Original red marble top with moulded edge. Over two oak lined drawers (with unusual centre lock for both) and two solid walnut shelves. Gadroon carved apron and drawer fronts with original handles. Crisply turned and reeded front legs, reeded rear supports and raised on a deep moulded apron. Note how the half depth centre shelf is carried on shaped bracket supports so it floats free of the front columns. Some old marks to the left hand side of the marble, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
