Gents 9ct gold Movado wrist watch, 1959.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 125 which was in production from 1946 to 1961, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed Movado Factories.

The watch is a good size at 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1959. The case has a maker's mark for D Shackman & Sons which suggests this is not the original case. The case is in good condition as is the lens.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. There is a little light freckling but barely noticeable to the naked eye.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
