Description

Lovely walnut example of the classic late Georgian writing bureau c.1790. Open the fall to reveal a good sized writing surface and original fitted interior with pigeon holes and seven small oak lined stationery drawers. Over four long drawers of graduated depth. Beautiful honey coloured walnut veneers across the top, front and sides. Crossbanded with a herringbone inlaid border to the fall and top. Original brass handles and escutcheon plates. Ogee base moulding and raised on the original tall bracket feet front and rear. Some old wear and repairs, generally very good unrestored condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
