Description

Victorian Mahogany Chest on Chest

This superb piece of furniture dates from around 1830, it is was a greatly favoured piece because of the great amount of storage it gives

The chest stands on bracket shaped feet, the base section has three long drawers and the upper section is the normal two short over three longer graduated drawers. The top of the piece is set off with an attractive dentil cornice

The chest has a wonderful patina and a rich chestnut colour, the piece is in very good condition

A superb piece of Country House Chic and it is not too tall to look superb in a country cottage

The chest stands 66” high it is 46” wide and 21” deep
