Large Old English Blanket Box

19th century
Description

A large old English pine blanket box dating from around c.1870, in very good condition for its age. It has a deep flat top lid, which makes for an excellent coffee table alternative. If you would like to use it as originally intended, to store blankets and linen, you will find a good size storage space inside the chest, along with the little candle box. The original penny end strap hinges and carrying handles are in good order.

It was stripped then wax polished, and is ready for collection or delivery.
