Description

Beautiful late 19th.c marble top washstand or dressing table by the celebrated British makers and retailers Heal & Sons of London c.1890. In stained ash with exceptional hand painted decoration in black and gold across the piece. White marble top with a raised splash back with turned finials, decorated sides and retaining the original white ceramic tiles with delightful illustrations of plants and songbirds. Two drawers in the base with original handles and painted fronts. Turned legs all with decorative paintwork, raised on the original castors and joined with a useful stretcher shelf. Stamped for Heal & Son London on the top of the right hand drawer front. Excellent original condition, fitted with a new marble, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
