A Rare Georgian Silver 'Bucellas' Decanter Label

Description

A wonderful and rare silver Bucellas wine label from the turn of the 18th Century. This excellent example is in banner form with 'Bucellas' pierced to the centre. Decorated with a crisp wriggle edge border and supported on a belcher chain. The name Bucellas dates from C1796-1897 and was a district near Lisbon that produced a popular white wine. Hallmarked in 1801 this is an early example making this a interesting and collectable piece. Dimensions below.
