Framed and signed oil on canvas showing two cows lying down by a lake. The painting is signed by the Belgium artist Paul Maas and is signed and authenticated on the rear. The artist has used a generous bright palette, which is typical of Maas. The painting dates from around 1950.

Paul Maas was a Belgian painter who was born in 1890 and died in 1962. His paintings are well catalogued at auction - particularly the States where he achieves good results.
