A French four glass mantel clock with a visible escapement. A brass case with bevelled glass panels. An enamel dial with blued steel 'moon' hands and visible escapement and pallets. A mercury compensating pendulum. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism signed to the back by noted retailers Mappin & Webb of London. Circa 1895.
