This pair of Walnut George I style armchairs were made circa 1910 in one of the best workshops of the day.

Each chair has a hand embroidered shaped drop in seat with the decoration replicating the classic style of the Georgian period.

The chairs both have a shaped central splat that joins the shaped top rail and seat,

the well-shaped arms with a scroll handgrip and moulded armrest.

Their legs are carved cabrioles with the delicate shell carving to the knee.
