~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A lovely original antique French clock, boldly modelled in the Rococo style in gilded bronze. It is finely detailed with an elaborate asymmetric urn, profuse floral swags and 'C' scrolls. The front of the case is fretted, allowing a glimpse of the pendulum swinging within.
It is signed for the retailer Lattelais of Gournay en Bray, just north of Paris. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video clip of the clock running, please ask for further details.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles next to the left hand winding hole and a very light scratch.

A.D. Mougin clockmakers mark on the movement backplate along with the Paris bronzier / case makers mark of Lyon Bernard
