A Gorgeous French Silver Mounted Scent Bottle

A gorgeous silver mounted French scent bottle. The silver is hallmarked to the front with a tiny French mark and the lid is hinged, opening to reveal a peg stopper. The body is oval in shape and has an applied silver panel to the front, engraved with fruit surrounded with a decorative border. The bottle stands on a pedestal foot and to the back is a panel of cut hobnails in an oval to echo the front. A superb and rather unusual collector's piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.
