A late Georgian three pillar mahogany dining table with two extra leaves.
This fine table has been re-constructed in the late 19th or early 20th century using three early 19th century pedestals with handsome turned columns, square platforms and elegant swept legs with animal paw brass castors. The top is also 19th century , in well-figured mahogany, re-claimed from another piece.
It is in good ''Country House'' condition, meaning it has not been restored and may show some signs of age and use. Nothing is seriously wrong and it is ready to use as is or could be restored if you require ''show-room'' condition.
It has come straight from an idyllic Georgian rectory in the Kent countryside, where it was photographed.
Please note that the brass clips it is supplied with were not inserted when photographed, so there are some small gaps between the leaves which disappear with the clips inserted.
The table is 45.75 inches from side to side and 29 inches high.
Each of the tw
...o end pedestals are 34.25 inches wide, (68.5 inches wide when used together).
The centre pedestal is 29.75 inches wide, (98.25 inches wide when used with the two end sections)
There are two leaves, one 16 inches wide and one 17.33 inches wide, which can be used separately or together, (Maximum total width as shown in photos 131.58 inches).
Will seat up to 14.
