Antique silver Faverges pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has the name of a previous owner, Karl Ufferhusloh.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside two case backs along with the Fabrique des Faverges logo. Overall the case is in good condition, just a couple of small “dings” to the hinged case back.

Originally there would have been rose gold wash detail to the outside of the case but the majority of this has worn off over the years.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name of the original German retailer, W Beerhorst, Wagenfeld. There are hairline cracks radiating from the centre of the dial but they are faint and not immediately noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch has lovely ornate hands which are pin-set.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
