Handsome Pair Antique English Turned Walnut Desk Candlesticks - Brass Mounted

Description

A wonderful pair of Victorian candlesticks, perfect for the desk-top and as useful today as 130 years ago when they would have been made.

Each of the bases is weighted which can be vaguely detected through the original covering the underside, these would have aided to keep the sticks firmly stable and harder to knock over.

The bases are decorated with brass mounts coordinating with solid cast brass inserts acting the top of the wood from wax drips.

Both are in excellent condition having been re-polished & waxed to gleam.

5" tall with a base diameter measuring 3 3/4".
