Description

A satinwood and purple heart Victorian Period writing table by Gillows Of Lancaster. Having a satinwood rectangular top with a fine quality black leather writing surface and an unusual pop up compartment for ink wells and pens (a Gillows trade mark design). The top having purple heart moulding which is repeated around the drawers which are ash lined. The table is stamped Gillow and L1409 which dates from the 1870s. Each drawer having two finely turned drawer pulls and the whole standing on turned and reeded supports with the original brass castors English circa 1870

Dimensions: 42" wide x 22.5" deep x 30" high

Condition: This writing table is in beautiful condition, cleaned and waxed
