Description

Coalport porcelain cache pot, c. 1875. Exuberantly hand painted in the ‘Cashmere’ pattern, of a central formal design, in red, blue and gold, surrounded by solid gold scrolls, reserving pink florets. All upon a light green ground, densely gilded with flowers and leaves. Having twin gilt scroll handles.

Ampersand Mark, and COALPORT in puce to the base.

Height - 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.

Diameter - 18.5 cm, 7 1/4”.

Condition - Typical minor wear to the gilt rim. No damage. No restoration.
