An English ships type 'Radio Room' clock by Mercer. A brass case with opening front with bevelled glass. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism with platform escapement. A painted dial with sweep seconds and red lined sector. The back has an old label marked 'British Holly Radio Room'. Mercer were noted makers of fine chronometers. Circa 1940.
