Scottish Georgian Mahogany Longcase Clock. Circa 1830

Description

Good quality Scottish late Georgian figured mahogany longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement by Thomas McGregor of Ayton (Borders). The highly figured mahogany case in fine condition. The painted dial, in fine original condition, depicting the four continents in spandrels and Britannia with Man 'o War in arch. Movement all in full working order having been recently overhauled. The case fine rich colour with good waxed patina. Comes with all keys.

Size; 85" high, 18" wide at hood, 9" deep.
