Waltham Bartlett full hunter pocket watch, 1918.

The watch has a beautifully patterned high grade stem-winding movement (with gold star wheel regulator and jewelled pallets) which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed Waltham, P S Bartlett. The grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business. 

The movement has serial number 22,037,273 dates it back to 1918. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition with just minor surface marking and a 'pin prick ding' to the front cover.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
