Georgian Tallboy or Chest on Chest

18th century
Description

A lovely example of a period mahogany chest on chest.

It has a Greek key moulding and very attractive fret work on the cornice. It has a brushing slide and the oak lined drawers have lovely bookend veneers with beautiful figuring,

It has canted and reeded corners.

It is in good condition commensurate with its age and we have put new runners on all the drawers so they all run smoothly.

The photos are taken on quite a bright day making it appear lighter than it would indoors. The last photo is as it appears in the shop
