Superb 18ct Gold Sovereign Case / Holder London 1904

What can only be described as a superb Edwardian Sovereign Case / Holder made from a deep yellow 18ct gold. The circular holder is a plain polished gold with a monogram and date (9.4.1905) engraved on the front. The push button at the top of the case opens the hinged lid, to reveal a lovely spring loaded sovereign compartment. Very clear hallmarks are visible on the inside lid for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1904 and the maker''s mark for Joseph Walton. There is a loop at the top for attachment.
