Antique Deep Buttoned Leather Hump Back Sofa

1900 - 1920
Description

This antique sofa still has the original deep buttoned leather upholstery, which is in very good original condition. The colour is magnificent & it has loads of character. We have just had it revived & polished by our leather specialist. It’s Chippendale style with a pronounced hump back inbetween the wings & I would date it to around the 1910-20’s period. The chamfered legs are mahogany with supportive cross stretchers joining & helping make it more sturdy. It has deep buttoned leather inside the back, arms & on the seat. The leather is hand tacked onto the frame. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the wonderful colour & details of this piece. There are no tears, rips, or holes in the leather.
