Antique silver Waltham Hillside pocket watch, 1891.

The watch has a 13 jewel stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 5031748 which dates it back to between August and November 1891. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 48.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both case backs for Birmingham 1891 with a maker’s mark for Alfred Bedford, the manager of the London branch of Waltham. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.

The glass lens is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is signed A.W.W.Co. Waltham, Mass. It has several very faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
